Principal's welcome

A warm welcome is extended to you and your family from the Burpengary State School community. Our school has had a tradition of academic excellence since 1876. We work hard to ensure that we are the school of first choice for our local community. We have been an accredited international school for overseas students studying in Australia for over 8 years.

At Burpengary, we work together to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Our student-centred learning approach supports all students to excel and achieve to their full potential. Our school hosts an on-site English as a second language or dialect program where trained educators support students in their learning of English. We have a range of extra-curricular activities in the areas of the arts, sport and technology.

Welcome to Burpengary State School.

Established in 1876, we have a long history of high academic performance, sporting achievement, rich cultural experiences, and award-winning bands and choirs.

Our large co-educational primary school has more than 870 students, and we focus on success for all our students through our 5 building blocks for success (excellence, respect, resilience, integrity and cooperation).

We have a clear community vision to inspire you and we create many opportunities for quality learning so that you can help to shape the future.
